YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy policy.

What we collect, why we use it, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Versa is a news and media publication operated by SeedX Inc. In this policy, “Versa,” “we,” “our,” and “us” refer to SeedX Inc. This policy covers readversa.com, our newsletter, and the Versa digital-product services linked from this website.

Contact: hello@readversa.com

Information we collect

  • Information you provide: your email address when subscribing; your name, email and message when contacting us; and the order and account details needed to deliver a purchase or provide support.
  • Technical information: hosting and service providers may process IP addresses, browser and device information, request times and security logs to deliver and protect the service.
  • Optional analytics: after you accept analytics, Google Analytics can process page visits, approximate location, device information and interactions such as clicks on newsletter or shop links.
  • Newsletter activity: our email provider may record delivery, opens and link activity. Some email apps obscure or block these signals.
  • Purchases: ThriveCart and Stripe process checkout and payment information. We receive the order information needed to provide products and support; full card details are handled by the payment provider.

Our downloadable workbooks are not forms for submitting private reflections to Versa. Please do not email completed workbook responses, medical records or other sensitive personal information.

How we use information

We use information to send the newsletter you requested, deliver purchases, answer questions, manage refunds, maintain security, understand how the publication is used, and meet legal obligations. We do not use newsletter signup as consent to every other purpose.

Where applicable privacy law requires a legal basis, we rely on consent for optional analytics and requested marketing; contract-related needs for purchases; legal obligations for required records; and legitimate interests for proportionate security, administration and support, subject to your rights.

Service providers and sharing

We use service providers for website hosting and delivery, editorial content, email, measurement, payments and digital-product access. These include Sanity for editorial content, beehiiv for newsletters and signup forms, Google Workspace for correspondence, Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics for measurement, ThriveCart for checkout and buyer access, Stripe for payments, and Cloudflare for delivery and security.

Embedded signup forms connect directly to beehiiv when displayed, so beehiiv may receive technical information before you submit the form. Third-party checkout and account services have their own privacy notices and controls.

We do not sell mailing lists for money. If advertising measurement is enabled, sharing with advertising platforms may be treated as “sharing,” targeted advertising or a sale under some privacy laws. Optional advertising tools require a separate advertising choice before activation. Our Cookie policy describes the current setup.

We may also disclose information when legally required, to protect rights and security, or in a business transfer subject to appropriate protections. We do not promise that every service provider acts only as our processor; some also have independent responsibilities.

Advertising measurement

If you accept Advertising measurement in Cookie preferences, Meta Pixel can measure visits to selected public entry pages (the homepage, subscribe, about and archive pages) for Facebook and Instagram advertising. It can send page visits, browser/device information, identifiers and IP addresses to Meta, which may use this information for advertising purposes. We do not activate optional advertising measurement without the relevant advertising choice. Enabling analytics alone does not authorize advertising measurement.

We do not intentionally send private workbook responses, message contents or sensitive personal information to advertising platforms. See Meta’s privacy policy for its own practices. The initial integration measures PageView events only on those entry pages, without query strings or fragments. It does not measure article reading, checkout confirmation pages, completed subscriptions or purchases.

Your choices and rights

Use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter to stop marketing emails. Necessary purchase, security and support messages may still be sent. Open Cookie preferences to review optional analytics and advertising measurement. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser; doing so may reset your saved choice.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information; object to or restrict processing; withdraw consent; or opt out of certain sharing or targeted advertising. Email hello@readversa.com to make a request or appeal a decision. We may need reasonable information to verify your identity or an authorized agent’s authority. We will respond as required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable rights.

Where applicable, you may complain to your local data-protection authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

Retention, security and international use

We keep information for the purposes described above and as needed for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention and dispute-related obligations. Subscriber information is retained while you subscribe; limited suppression records may remain to honor an unsubscribe request. Retention periods vary by record type and service provider.

We use safeguards appropriate to the information and services involved, but no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. SeedX Inc. is based in the United States; providers may process information in other countries. Where required, transfers are subject to applicable safeguards.

Children and policy updates

Versa is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

We may update this policy as the publication and its services change. The date at the top identifies the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated where required.
